What klink keeps about you, why, and for how long: for each form, and for the table at a venue, briefly.

What we keep, and why

  • At the table

    When you scan the code on the table
    What
    The name you give at the table, if you give one; an anonymous ID for your phone; your orders, payments and calls to the waiter; your note to the manager, if you write one when you rate the visit. Your phone keeps the ID, the name and the languages you chose in its browser.
    Why
    So the venue can serve the table and make the bill, and the people at the same table can see who ordered what. A note to the manager reaches only the manager and is never public.
    How long
    Orders and payments, for as long as the venue has to keep its sales records. What is in your browser stays on your phone until you clear it.

  • Your guest account

    If you sign in with novaflux at the table
    What
    Your name, the allergens and diets you choose, your company for invoices and the receipts of your payments.
    Why
    So they are filled in at any venue with klink. Allergens only hide dishes from your own menu; the venue does not see them.
    How long
    Until you delete the account, from the app, at any time.

  • Booking a table

    On a venue's page
    What
    The day, the time, the number of guests, your name, phone, email and notes, if you write any.
    Why
    They go to the venue you chose, so they can welcome you, and we email you about the booking: the request, the confirmation or decline, a cancellation and a reminder beforehand.
    How long
    12 months after the booking's date, then we delete them.

  • "Notify me"

    On reservations
    What
    Your email address and, if you filled it in on a venue's page, that venue.
    Why
    Only to tell you, once, when reservations open. We send no newsletters and share it with no one.
    How long
    Until you ask us to delete it, at most 24 months.

  • "I'd order from the table here"

    On the page of a place not on klink yet
    What
    An anonymous cookie in your browser, so we count you only once, and your email address, only if you leave it.
    Why
    So we know where people want klink. Your email is used once, to tell you the place joined klink; we do not give it to the venue.
    How long
    For as long as the place is not on klink.

  • "Request a demo"

    On the For venues page
    What
    Your name, the venue's name, the city, your email or phone, and your message if you write one.
    Why
    Only to contact you and arrange the demo.
    How long
    Until you ask us to delete them, at most 24 months.

  • "Is this your venue?"

    On a venue's page or the page of a place not on klink yet
    What
    Your name, your email and, if you write them, your phone, your role at the venue, your message and the company's CUI.
    Why
    Only to check that you run the venue and to set up its account. The CUI helps us check the company in the public registers.
    How long
    Until you ask us to delete them, at most 24 months.

  • A venue's account

    Venues sign in with a novaflux account
    What
    The account's email address and the venues it manages.
    Why
    Only to sign you in and show you your venues.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for a copy of your data, for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP).

  • Data about places

    The bars, restaurants and cafés not on klink yet come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence). They are not data about people.

  • Cookies and analytics

    No advertising or analytics cookies and no traffic statistics. Your browser keeps only what the site and the table strictly need to work.

  • Who is responsible

    The data controller is the operator of klink, part of novaflux.
